I have been creating knives in Oklahoma since 1986 and completed the requirements for my master bladesmith rating in 2006. My work is sole authorship. Each knife or sword is hand made one at a time as an expression of my best creative ability. As a skilled artisan my select works are for sale, but I may decline specific requests or commissions unless I feel it contributes in a meaningful way to the art and history of the forged blade.
Through my experiences I have realized the tremendous value a properly constructed blade may have. This is why so many of my resources have been dedicated over the years to researching and crafting the best edged tools I possibly can. I have a personal preference for blades that balance aesthetics, and performance. I prefer the warmth of natural materials for handles, and work in high carbon steel as well as forging my own damascus. Each blade is hand forged before being further refined through grinding and hand filing. Every blade is individually heat treated and tested using methods that best suit the style of blade and type of steel used. Abrasives are then used to produce a hand rubbed finish.
